a year for growth...

I think if we had to choose a word to sum up 2014 for our family, it would have to be "change". We decided to sell our house and after just a month or two, it was sold and our entire world was spun around. We packed and moved in a flash [although it felt like it took FOREVER], Scarlett became an apartment kid and made a ton of new friends, we got ourselves into a completely new routine that includes storytime at the mall, gymnastics three times a week and running errands during the week instead of saving them all up for the weekends. Nick and I were able to reconnect this last year by having more date nights and fun weekends as a family, and Scarlett has settled in to our new life well.

Nick and I were talking the other night and we decided that our family's word for 2015 will be "grow". Nick would like to grow more in his professional life, we're still experiencing growing pains from moving to a new town, we'd like to focus more on eating whole foods [preferably locally grown] and I'd like my little blog to grow into a more well-curated place. I think the word grow will also help us to remember to take time to enjoy watching Scarlett grow up more and more each day. She's absolutely a little kid now and our toddler days are long behind us...

Have you chosen a word for 2015? What did you choose and why?
